Dale Nellor Rejoins AMI As Director of Legislative Affairs
Tuesday, April 1, 2008
The American Meat Institute today announced
that Capitol Hill veteran Dale Nellor has
re-joined AMI as director of legislative
affairs.
In his position, Nellor will report to
AMI Senior Vice President of Legislative of
Affairs Mike Brown.
Nellor left AMI last fall after two
years as a member of AMI’s legislative team to
serve as the political/policy director for
former Agricultural Secretary Mike Johanns’
U.S. Senate campaign in Nebraska.
Previously, Nellor worked for more than
two years as a legislative assistant to U.S.
Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE). His responsibilities
as a principle advisor to Sen. Hagel focused on
all agricultural issues, energy, rural
development, natural resources and related
appropriations policy. Nellor has additional
agricultural policy advocacy experience having
served as a policy consultant for the Nebraska
Farm Bureau Federation. Prior to that, Nellor
served as a campaign manager and as an
agricultural policy consultant for several
campaigns for seats in the U.S. House of
Representatives.
Originally, from a row crop and
livestock farm in northeastern Nebraska, he
received his B.S. in business management from
Concordia University in Wisconsin.
“Dale’s legislative and agricultural
policy experience has been a great asset to our
legislative team,” said AMI President J.
Patrick Boyle. “We are pleased to have him back
and picking up right where he left off.”
