“We are gratified by the release of the rule today. Full restoration of cattle and beef trade with Canada is scientifically justified and appropriate under international animal health guidelines. We look forward to reviewing and providing comments on this long-awaited proposal that hopefully will return the U.S. and Canada to more normal trading patterns while providing full protection to our cattle herd and U.S. citizens.”
