Washington, D.C. – An all new
OSHA, General Industry (10-hour) Course,
specific to meat industry applications, will
debut at the 2007 Conference on Worker Safety,
Health & Human Resources, April 2-4, 2007 at
the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado
Convention Center.
The course was
developed by experts from across the industry
and from academia. It is the first OSHA General
Industry training course to address specific
meat and poultry industry exposures and
standards. John Wallace, professor at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
will present the course. The cost of attending
the course is included in conference
registration.
OSHA training courses of
this type are designed for those in the private
sector who need a sound working knowledge of
OSHA standards applicable to their worksites.
The courses provide students with a broad basis
of knowledge in OSHA standards, and the ability
to research OSHA data to find information on
specific situations/questions. All
participants in this program will be issued
OSHA cards verifying course
completion.
The Hyatt Regency Denver at
Colorado Convention Center is the premier hotel

Registration can be
completed online or by submitting a
registration form. Early Bird Registration –
prior to Mar. 8, 2007 – is $625 per person
($565 for three or more registrations from the
same company). After Mar. 8, 2007, attendees
pay the regular conference rate of $675 per
person ($615 for three or more registrations
from the same company). Non-member rates are
$865 per person.
